Recuperaremos la Noche

Desde el 18 de Marzo de 2020 rige en Chile un "Estado de Catástrofe" que nos ha mantenido más de un año bajo toque de queda desde las 10:00 pm. hasta las 5:00 am.
El pasado 24 de Junio el congreso aprobó extender dicho estado por otros tres meses más, mismo día que instalé este dibujo en la calle.
Hice esta ilustración en el invierno de 2020, cuando recién llevábamos 3 meses sin libertad de tránsito por las noches. En ese momento estaba muy lejos de pensar, incluso en mis peores escenarios, que un año después tendría aún más sentido que cuando la dibujé.

We will take back the Night

Since March 18/2020 a curfew has been decreed throughout Chile from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. declared due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic
On 24 June Chile’s national congress approved to extend this state of exception for another 90 days, the same day that I installed this drawing.
I made this illustration in the winter of 2020, when we had just been without freedom of transit at night for 3 months. I was a long way from thinking, even in my worst case scenarios, that a year later it would make even more sense than when I drew it.

Espero que en 3 meses más, cuando llegue la primavera,
podamos finalmente recuperar la Noche, o al menos una parte de ella.
